"Formaggioteca" is an unusual word in Italian but we chose it to embody what we do: cheese & wine. "Terroir" is the French word that is often used in wine to define the characteristics of a place where a wine (but also a cheese) comes from and makes it unique.

At Formaggioteca Terroir you will find a curated selection of both French and Italian cheese, along with an equally curated selection of quality italian and french wines.

You will be able to taste in our tasting room or bring home the tasting experience.

You will find around 50 different high-quality kinds of cheese to taste and we'll suggest a wine to match. We work with the best cheese refiners so that we can guarantee our customers the very best. Our wines come from producers who respect nature and safeguard their native vine varieties.

Formaggioteca Terroir is in the San Niccolò neighborhood of Florence, on the Oltrarno, a 5 min. walk from the Ponte Vecchio, but outside the ZTL so you can also reach us by car.

The kitchen opens half an hour after opening

and closes half an hour before closing
