La Formaggioteca is open in March 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, from an idea of a couple, Rebecca & Pierre Gouttenoire.
Pierre, is a French winemaker with more than 15 years of experience in various areas of France, and Rebecca is of Danish origin, but has now moved from a lifetime to Tuscany and where she found a love for good food.
For some time the two had been working together promoting the wine world in particular through their agency Grape Tours, bringing curious people to discover Tuscany first of all but also other enchanting places in Italy and France. In fact, the bond with the territories is very personal and strengthened by consolidated collaborations.
With the collapse of tourism, the idea was born of opening a terroir cheese and wine shop in the San Niccolò area of Florence. Instead of bringing people to the places of taste, the tasty products have brought them to their reality in Florence.
