Who we are
La Formaggioteca opened in March of 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic, from an idea of a couple, Rebecca and Pierre Gouttenoire.
Pierre, is a French winemaker with more than 15 years of experience in various areas of France, and Rebecca is of Danish origin but moved to Tuscany a lifetime ago and this is where she found a love for good food.
For some time the two had been working together promoting the wine world in particular through their agency Grape Tours, bringing curious people to discover Tuscany, and beyond. In fact, the bond with the territories of Italy and France is very personal to both and strengthened by consolidated collaborations.
With the collapse of tourism, the idea of opening a cheese and wine shop was born. Instead of bringing people to tasty places, the tasty products are brought to Florence and can be tasted inside this lovely little space, dedicated to good organic foods and wines.
